Handle with care (original poem)

You've shown me more love than anybody else ever has

You let me know that it's okay to feel things

that it's okay to not be okay

Even when I feel completely lost in a sea of people you still manage to find me and fish me out

You are the stars in my sky

the shoulder I can cry on

the rock I can lean on

and above else, you're a human too.

You joke your way out of showing emotions

You don't often let yourself feel.

I've been there too love

It isn't something you tell people, but to me you're easy to read

You're my biggest inspiration

The reason I began to put myself out there with my art

You're the biggest risk I've ever taken

and you caught me when I took that leap of faith

I can only hope I don't screw this up

You're my safe place, and I hope I'm yours too

You've shown me I can trust you wholeheartedly

But handle with care, and please don't make me regret it

Don't leave me when it gets rough

Don't shut me out when you feel like you're alone

You've shown me all this love

and I hope I do the same for you
