I email myself a lot. Random things, important things, sometimes even simple. Some people wonder why. 

And honestly, my mentality about email is that it's "on the record." If it's on the record, I'll actually follow it. Or do it. Or remember it. 

That's really the only reason why.

I never email myself something I can put on a sticky note. Sticky notes are temporary. Emails? Permanent. I need permanance. Something that figuratively sticks, that I can quickly look for, reference, and swear to someone that I've said before.
