kinda lame that people still think all emos are extremely depressed, suicidal and always hurt themselves.
of course there are some that are like that but they exist in every community.
plus ... it's not cool to make fun of anyone who deals with that type of stuff, emo or not. it's very serious.

yeah i agree.
i wouldn't consider myself that emo personally, i just like the aesthetic and stuff. fortunately i don't have any illnesses and never got made fun of but it's fucked up.
also, wearing black doesn't make someone automatically emo!!

thats so true!! im personally not emo but i know alot of people who are and i fully support them! i cannot name the amount of times i got told i was an emo and to sewerslide :// its not fair honestly

Glas that I'm not the only one offended by this, I thought I was just being sensitive again-
I get that it's "just a style", but is it really necessary to joke about mental illness just cuz someone likes to wear black?
And b4 any1 says anything- ik that emo is more specific than "just wearing black", I'm just saying this cuz ppl will call anyone who wears the smallest amount of black "emo" and therefore will stereotype them as depressed hhhhh

Yeah, I'm emo and have
a few alt friends and people will yell "Suicide Squad" at us.... And someone on my bus had wrapped his seatbelt around his neck and acted like he was choking and asked me, "Is that what you're going to do tonight?" Like if I was suicidal, you're only making it worse!
