Tongue-In-Chic

I'm not too chic;

I could never click with a clique,

and it's not tongue-in-cheek

to say I pique

some curiosities.

But once a week,

I'd like to take a peek

and live a dream

and fly, at least

above anxiety.

But here I stand.

My feet planted firmly on land.

Overwhelmed human.

But, at least,

I'm not too chic.
