I’m now onto the third edition of ‘Before the coffee gets cold’, in the last story of BTCGT Kei travelled to the future to see Miki. The start of this book aligned with that scene and explained why Nagare and Kazu are in Hokkaido, they need to temporarily run the other time travelling café which Nagare’s mother, Yuraki Tokita. There are new regulars at the café and the other employee, Reiji. Kazu’s daughter, Sachi is now in charge of pouring the coffee ( as well as Miki ). This story follows the tale of Yayoi who lost her parents as an infant. She wanted to travel back in time to confront them and explain how hard her life has been without them but instead she bonds with her mother, and they share there trauma unknowingly. After Yayoi is back in the present, her mother travels from the past to their current time to see Yayoi again. It will be strange not being in Funiculi Funicula but instead in Donna Donna. Instead of Kaname, the previous ghost, there is now an old gentleman in black residing in the time travelling seat. I hope there is reappearances of previous characters and more Miki content. So far, so good! :D

I've also only noticed today that the cat on the covers of the books is in the same placement on every one lol
