Ohio in the Scott The Woz universe

So in the 2020 Scott The Woz Christmas Special "You're Not An RPG Guy: A Scott The Woz Christmas", Scott makes the statement "This isn't America, this is Ohio!"

In an earlier episode of Scott The Woz (S4EP45: Mario Party (N64) | Party Hard - Scott The Woz), we can see that Scott had thought about what to do for 4 years before deciding to throw his first party. Based on this info, we can assume that the Christmas special takes place in the year 2024, as well as STW Season 5 and so on.

Assuming this is the case, we can assume that within the 4 years that Scott had thought about throwing his first party, Wendy's Employee dying and his funeral, between the funeral and when Scott had finally thought about what to do after those 4 years, Ohio had seceded from the United States and became a standalone country.

Furthermore, in Borderline Forever (S5 EP5), a news reporter says "Other states would contact Ohio to help, but it seems they would have to be convinced that Ohio is real first." which implies that Ohio splitting from the United States would make other states unsure if Ohio is a real state first.

Either that or I'm looking too far into a 2 second joke.
