the return of shane dawson??? WTF??

if you don’t already know, last year shane dawson was exposed over and over again on all of the awful things he did in the past during his career and soon disappeared from the internet. if you wanna know more about this in depth i recommend watching dangelo wallace’s video on the whole situation as he explains basically everything that happened at the time.

2 weeks ago, shane posted a video titled ‘The Haunting of Shane Dawson” which was basically just a ‘spooky halloween series’ that he was doing. i believe the third and final part was posted yesterday, and all those videos have somehow received lots of support which means that shane is sadly going to be pushing out more content until we mass ‘cancel’ him again.

now i personally havent watched the videos hes posted because i dont want to support him in any way, however i have seen videos which look at his videos and looked at the comments of those videos and a common thing i saw in those comments was that cancel culture isnt real. sure you might mass post as many threads and exposee dms and emails and long lost footage, but at the end of the day, the person who was in the wrong may never learn. it happened with James Charles, it happened with David Dobrik, and Shane has been doing it for quite some time. he would get called out occasionally on things he did but he never really faced serious consequences, and his fans were always eager to watch him and support him after a huge scandal.

so now heres the big question. has shane changed even a little bit? is there a possible apology video that hes going to release since this whole halloween special is over now? is he really going to change this time, take accountability for his actions and better himself? i honestly doubt it but i want to hope he will at the very least *try*.
