Maybe It's Nostalgia Glasses, But...

Oh, man, I can't even begin to describe how tickled I am to find myself here. Like, seriously. Thanks to the massively toxic hellscape that is Facebook, I've found myself actually missing the old days of social media, when it was actually an enjoyable experience; when you could just hang out, meet some cool people with similar interests, and just have fun, without counting the seconds until some jackass shows up to vomit their nonsense on your good time.

And here we are. So, Imma say thank you VERY MUCH, An. This is a much-appreciated shot in the arm; the vaccine to the Facebook virus, as it were. And I, for one, hope this place grows, and picks up enough users to become a serious contender to the FB crown.

Seems appropriate to me, too; we fell for the greener grass of facebook, and ended up doing Tom and MySpace dirty. And by the time we found out the grass was greener because it had more shit in it, it was too late to turn back. The Zuck suck was complete.

So, yeah, it feels like coming home, in a way. Even though it means I have to brush up on basic coding again; even though it's making miss classic DeviantArt and LiveJournal now; even though it's starting fresh on a new platform. I'm tickled to be back, and hoping for the best for the platform.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a big ol' cup of coffee I need to attend to. So, until next time,
Happy trails, ponytails!
