Checked out your group. It looks very helpful. Personally I have social anxiety in general so when I looked up about Schziod Personality Disorder it sounded a bit familiar on that part.
This is what Google told me:
"Schizoid personality disorder is an uncommon condition in which people avoid social activities and consistently shy away from interaction with others. They also have a limited range of emotional expression."
I can understand wanting to avoid people in general. So I can relate to anyone out there with SPD on that part for sure. It is great to bring awareness to this. People need to understand that there are things people go through they can't help. So I believe your group will do great on supporting people with SPD & also help bring awareness in general. Sorry I am unfamiliar to it in general, but glad I came across your blog this morning so I can learn about something new that needs awareness brought too. I will check out your YouTube channel you posted in the group about. Thank You
Thanks! Yes there are some things in common there. I tend to just sort of stay home a lot and get overwhelmed by too much socializing. Similarities with autism as well.
Diagnosed with SPD 20 years ago but was only in therapy for other things on and off over the years.

Very understandable & yeah definitely can understand avoided people altogether. Checking out your You Channel & love you named it "Internet Kindness." Seems to not be as much internet kindness as there should be out there on the web in general. So reading the name of your channel was a breath of fresh air. I will be watching your videos about SPD so I can be more aware of it in general.

Thanks, it happens. It was originally called don't be an a$$hole on the internet, but FB made me change it because swearing was not allowed in the page titles. XD But then I ended up buying the domain name and still need to work on the website more. Too much stuff going on to keep up with. Was inspired by Jaron's Lanier's book on social media, suggesting that the ones with particular types of algorithms have a way of turning people into jerks and increasing arguments.

I will have to check that out. I would like to learn more on that topic because algorithm doesn't always seem to work right in general. Also the old name sounds good too lol. It is true people should stop being a$$holes. More of an in your face reality check type of YouTube name. I like that too. I remember what got me curious about the Netflix series "Don't F**k With Cats" was the name that drew me to find out more about it. Ended up being really interesting.

yeah i bought James Fell's book of sweary history just because it adds spiciness, lol. I think the Facebook algorithm is working quite right for what they want it to do, namely selling data and advertisements, but this is working very wrong a lot of the time for the end users' needs, and that's the problem. good to hear, yes! he explains it well and i did delete facebook for 6 months after buying his book. it was a wonderful 6 months, but also i missed those people who were on facebook, haha. but i consider it a good thing to be here instead since the way this site works is not the same and is not damaging in the same ways.

I got to agree. This site seems more peaceful in general. Feels like a nice chill spot to come get a break from the complications of other social media sites in general. There have been times I deactivated my Facebook for short amount of times for a break. I ended up making secret groups for storage on there that I need to collect family videos out of before making a clean break. I ended up taking advantage of the Facebook Live option a lot. So overtime I screen record my old videos & post them privately on YouTube so only I have access to them. I have thought about a clean break in general in the past.

cool, yeah, have done similar things in the past. i dont think it's good for my mental health, and probably not for others, either, but i can only control my own behavior. or try to!
