What Year Is It (Sorry for Weezerposting)

Tonight has been pretty good. I learned about Buddy Holly (probably a good thing, because three weeks ago I thought he was made up by Weezer for the song), and The Day Music died.

Now before you all yell at me for not knowing my Music History or whatever, it's not like I'm a huge 50s music buff. I think the only band I could have named from around that time would have been like, Elvis and The Beach Boys. But now I know more about Rockabilly (Rock n Roll?) than I did now, so that's pretty cool B)

Now we're listening to Green Day. I knew like, three songs of theirs? But I like their other songs now too. It's good listening! If you haven't heard them before, I HIGHLY recommend them!

I did have to show them this glorious video though, because despite being older than me and being on the internet longer, they had no idea it existed??? LMAOO it was kind of surprising due to how iconic this video is! It is seriously one of my favorite videos! Bwahaha glad they got to see it though.

Oh but how we got to Green Day from Buddy Holly... It was because we listened to American Pie by Don McLean (and now I know what that song's about!), and of course, we had to listen to the Weird Al parody. lmaoooo. Also: Weird Al is a LOT older than I thought??? Like WHAT. I thought he was like, born in the 70s what do you MEAN he's SIXTY TWO YEARS OLD.

Also I mixed up Madonna with Marilyn Monroe again. idk why I keep doing that!! They are from like, two COMPLETELY different eras omg.

Anyways, guess that's it for now. See y'all in like, a year when I make a new blog post LMAO
