are things moving too fast?
i dont know, im not uneasy
does that even mean anything?
we spent a day together
the first couple minutes
walking to your car
we said hello to each other
my heart raced, you smiled lightly
we didnt know what to say
the drive was calm
the talk flowed nicely
even when driving your eyes were on me
in only a couple hours after that
we managed to be side by side
talking while leaning into each other
no one could've guessed
we had just met for the first time
not the way we were with each other
the sky was dark, signs of time passing
we held hands the first couple minutes
walking to your car
we laughed as we said hello
my heart raced, you smiled lightly
we spoke softly moving to the backseat
you held me close, moving my hair
while i laid on your chest, your heartbeat racing
we stayed this way for a moment
then it happened, i recall everything
i sat up right to move my hair to the side
i looked over at you and you kissed me
today marks a week
i know you'll say something about it
its maddening how close we are.
