Urban Legends of MD With My Art

A few years ago my AP Portfolio theme was Urban Legends in MD.  I haven't really been able to share them so I thought that I would here.

Don't worry this isn't a real arm.  I used a mannequin arm, liquid latex, gel fake blood, and liquid fake blood for this project as well as editing the photo in photoshop.
The Urban Legend behind this one takes place in Baltimore MD where a doctor and a nurse would pull awful pranks on the newer nurse.
One day they decide to take "leftover" limbs and put them in the storage room for the newer nurse to find. (I don't understand how you can have "leftover" limbs but it is an urban legend after all.)  When the newer nurse goes into the room and finds the limbs she screams but before she could run out the doctor and nurse lock her in there.
After awhile they go back to see if she fainted but instead find her eating the flesh off of an arm.

The next one is one that actually did happen by a pretty famous serial killer.  Albert Fisher is well known for his abuse towards children and the murdering of them afterwards but this case takes the cake.
Albert Fish was very friendly with his boss's family, including the twelve year old daughter Grace.  He told the family that his niece was having a birthday party and wanted to know if Grace could attend.  His boss let Grace go with him but it wasn't a birthday party.  Albert took her into the middle of the Worchester county woods (The pocomoke forest for those who know the area) and murdered her in an abandoned cabin.  There he ate her.
What makes this case different from his past murders was months after the search party for Grace ended he sent a letter to her parents describing in detail of what he did to her.

The last story is one that my family would talk about a lot.  In my childhood house my parents would describe seeing a man in a top hat walk out of the basement and up the stairs.  I later learned that my cousin, who I've since learned is clairvoyant, didn't like babysitting me and my brother there because she would see him as well.

I have more art pieces from this portfolio but I don't have time to describe all of them, I hope you enjoyed looking at them though!!
