You Look Familiar 🤔

So I’m at work and this couple sits down in my section and I look at the guy and think “I think I know this guy from somewhere” so I say out loud “I think I know you from somewhere”. He looked rreeaally familiar. He’s just like “na I don’t think so”. So I’m thinking oh maybe I don’t know him… or maybe he just doesn’t remember me (because I’m really good at remembering faces- and I’m also kind of a forgettable person in general). Some time goes by and I realize 💡 I have indeed seen him before! But I still didn’t know where from. So a little later on I go back up to them and ask “are you guys from Ohio?” taking a wild shot in the dark- and they’re like “Nope.” Thinking who is this weirdo? (probably). I shoot back “do you play soccer?” Thinking maybe I’ve played with him on a team together or maybe he was in the MLS 🤷🏾‍♂️ he’s like “nope”. Then I go “are you famous and you just don’t wanna tell me?” 🤣 he finally breaks down and kinda mumbles “I’m an actor.” And what I said out loud was “oh, cool” and calmly walked away, but inside I was like OOF. My bad, not trying to blow your cover dude. They pay and leave and that’s that. Well, it turns out the dudes name is Toby Kebbell and he’s been in a bunch of stuff I haven’t seen, but he is in one of my favorite episodes of Black Mirror so that’s how I knew his face. Anyway, he complained about having to pay $6 for valet 😂 and for some reason his wife was crying, which is always awkward for me when a guest cries at dinner. Kind of a funny story (maybe not?) but not really memorable at all. One thing that was memorable for me (since apparently I’m on the theme of famous people coming in to my place of work) a couple years ago Lance Reddick came in with his wife and right when he walked through the door I said “Good to see you lieutenant!” He looked at me and chuckled 😁 If you haven’t seen The Wire do yourself a favor and watch it. 2nd best tv show ever if you ask me. If anything else noteworthy happens I’ll let you all know 😂
