Why I created RiverWood Forest

RiverWood Forest is an escape realm I created not only to fulfill my artistic visions, but as a place of quiet, unconditional love and serenity of all the beauty in nature. From the intoxicating smell of spring dew and wet grass in the early morning, the smell of fragrant pine and dry leaves in the deep of the forest as the rain makes it’s own music as it falls to the ground, to the warmth of the sunshine and colors of the wildflowers whom attract friends small, feathered, and fuzzy. This is the kind of world where the best fairytales are written, stories are told, and unlikely friendships are formed. Where the mountains and meadows meet the waters of the lakes, streams, and oceans and all that embody them, tis a place where so many memories have been made with the closest people who have ever touched my heart and held onto it to this day. To other worlds we went, and gone to places we only would have dreamed up as our souls danced together in the times where you’d laugh until you cried, danced under the moon and stars, stayed up together to watched the sunrise, to all the love and fellowship that was shared between us as we embarked on many blissful and crazy adventures where our spirits truly connected in a timeless world we called our own for so many years.

These beautiful memories I now replay in my heart, in my sleep and in my daydreams, while little reminders of these times exist everywhere I go all around me in this next chapter of my current life. These special memories has always led me back to what was once special and what is still so near and dear to my heart, and my hope is to make them as real as possible for my fellow misfit souls. Inspired by Middle Earth, Little Women, Pirates of the Caribbean, the beautiful seasons of nature and European lore, true unconditional love, the mischief of fairies and goblins both dark and light, the magic of unicorns and woodland animals of all kinds, and the love of caring for them all, RiverWood Forest is the realm I hope to share to others what has been shared to me, to bring a piece of its charm into your own story, and to feel that love and magic in each collection of my art.
