How quickly people can get locked up in their conceptual prisons.
The human mind confuses its thoughts and viewpoints for reality because of a need to know, comprehend, and control.
It states:
This is how things are. You must have a larger-than-thought perspective to understand that whether you interpret "your life," or the life or behavior of another person, however you evaluate any circumstance, it is merely a viewpoint, one of many possible perspectives.
It is nothing more than a collection of ideas. Reality, however, is a one integrated whole in which everything is interconnected and nothing exists in and of itself.
Reality is split up into small, conceptual parts by thinking.
...
The thinking mind is a helpful and potent instrument, but it can also be terribly restrictive if it entirely dominates your life and you don't recognize that it only makes up a small portion of the consciousness you are.
