I wish I was born in 1990. I want to browse through Geocities, I want to Be 16 in 2006. I was born in 06. I want to see cool emo kids and scene kids
i want to experience y2k
when I think of the 2000's i picture cool summers, dreary gloomy days and staticky recordings old dim crudely designed living rooms, magazines, MP3 players. Old windows98 operating systems, the grey bulky design of the web browser on their square thick monitors. Low rise jeans and side-swept bangs. I am a 00's romanticizer.
And I miss something I never got to experience. I think i must have lived as a teen in my past life. I must have died early. If reincarnation is real, i hope im born in 1990. i feel so connected to that era, it makes me feel sad thinking about it. I dont like how 2022 looks, its boring..
I imagine the teal background and the gray interface of an old computer. I love it.

There was definitely a lot of magazine reading going on, at least for me. Everything on CD, spending days trying to figure out how to burn a DVD so it would actually play in a DVD player lmao. We used to pay our friend 5 bucks a CD to burn them for us because he was the only person around with a burner.
My parents did not care at all about Y2K happening so they just went to bed on NYE lmfao, I stayed up in front of the TV just waiting. I was 99% sure nothing was going to happen either but I wanted to be awake in case it did

Thats so cool, my mom was around 19 during y2k and was hiding in the basement with her friend haha it sounded funny. I would love to know more about the 2000's its my favorite era (obviously)
