museums are no place for the kind of mistakes we want to make. how can we rely on visitors if we’ve never left ‘it’ all behind?

finally feel cared about
finally feel like an adult
putting on on old school r&b just to listen to you sleep
thinking about the road ahead
the people we’ll meet
the existing garden we can weed and plant flowers in instead
‘i hope’, you say, ‘be more positive’, i respond.
 intoxicated
every thing i say will happen, will
 intoxicated and not
thirteen hours is nothing to me
you give me solace unlike any ive felt before
blue green
foam
i cant figure it out for my life
ive never seen eyes look at me the way yours do
we carry our inspirations around our necks
fragile fragile fragile
look how fragile we are
this country, this museum, we will see the outside
when the glass box is smashed open we will be unharmed
put ourselves back where we’ve always known we belong
(sugar honey icetea, twisted, upside down.
i’ll do everything and anything. ive met a person who deserves
just as much as i do. as i think i do. as i know i do.)

far away,
                                                                                     we will go.
