Backstabbed
A 'fan' interpretation of Kiwi's story, Backstabber
The cool late-summer breeze whistled through the small cooperative neighborhood. All the houses were smushed together, and stood tall with their backs straight as if a drill sergeant was standing Infront of them. Wind causes the trees to dance and the bushes to sing a crinkly, rusting tune. Sharp leaves rubbed against the girl's cheek as she lay, resting in the brush.
"DUDE STOP!!" A Brunette headed boy called out at his blonde cousin, he had been repeatedly running past him and slapping him in the back of his head. Jasper, his cousin, was more athletic of the two. Jayce was a stocky, tall kid with thick black glasses who liked to play videogames in his free time, whilst Jasper spent his time selling candies at his middle school up in Indiana. Jasper's younger sister Lila was hunched down prodding the dirt with a stick, sporting a grey pullover and her navy blue school-regulated skirt. She scoffed at the boys fighting.
I gotta get away from them
Lila walked down the sidewalk and next to the playground, the breeze felt nice in this cool weather, not too hot and not too cold, but the day was grey and that made it feel cooler. She sat on the swing and pushed herself a bit, staring at the houses. Perfectly trimmed lawns and bushes, and a big tree in the center of all of them. They were arranged in a coffin shape around the playground, the perfect scenery for a day like this. Lila liked gloomy weather. She took another look around the complex until she noticed something off about one of the bushes, a grey long shape emerged from the it. She walked towards it, being careful not to be in- sight of anyone's windows so she didn't feel like a weirdo stepping on someone's lawn.
A leg?!
Her heart sunk, but something was pulling her to part the bushes to take a closer look. A dirty blonde- messy haired olive skinned girl was laying there, in a similar outfit to Lila's. She was facing up and she had very round features. Lila shook the girl's shoulder. "Hey? Girl? are you okay?" this girl seemed younger than Lila, and was short in stature.
