am i the only one that is an artist but hates art class and art schools? i feel like theyre so cookie cutter follow the lines type of thing, i wanna become a webcomic designer but i dont know if i should pursue graphic design or art.
do you feel the same? as an artist do you feel art class is one of your lacks in intrest?

The main thing we did in art class was copying some landscapes which our teacher was showing us and from time to time we could draw something we chose but no one really struggled. At least I didn't because when I actually showed the teacher a drawing I put effort in she told me that it's printed. After some time she saw more drawings of mine and believed me but yeah I found that class boring. The themes we were getting weren't really interesting to me and I can't say that I learned any technique or smth.
Not even some art history, some general knowledge idk :/
