I was an avid MySpace user back in the day, it was my first social media that I ever used and I also remember how awesome it was that we could add artists and bands as friends on there and communicate with them. I'd totally fanboy when they replied back either in DM's or on my wall lol! And I also had lots of fun switching up my layouts (it was how I learned about HTML and CCS basically) and re-arranging my Top 8 (man, I remember the drama that caused for some people haha) and how I would install an add-on that would extend your Top 8 to be a crazy long list of top friends. MySpace themselves actually extended the Top Friends from 8 to like 20, I believe, at the most, by popular demand from the users.
