Here are my top five black metal albums that I’ve been listening to this week (not in order)! I’ll post an array of genres so stay tuned lolz!
Hulder Godslastering: Hymns of a Forlorn Peasantry the riffs are melancholic and symphonic, the gravely voice fits the tunes and outs you in the moment, it’s actually very relaxing especially the song “purgations of bodily corruptions“ with the guitar is just a chef’s kiss. Plus it’s a new 2021 album!
Mayhem: Deathcrush I know, a popular and old one. It originally was printed pink but I cannot get over Maniac’s voice in this album. The other vocalists cannot do “Chainsaw Gutsfuck” as he did.
Suicide Forest: Reluctantly This is an indie band that was featured on the channel “Black Metal Promotion” and I love the beginning chords of the first song, to his solemn but screaming nature. It’s emotional and raw.
Carach Angren: Franckensteina Strataemontanus the vocals are clean and beautiful, and the title track is really addictive. Probably one if not their best album. I’ll listen till my ears bleed.
Darkthrone: Transilvanian Hunger is a their fourth studio album and obviously the best even if the cover was a ripoff of “Live in Leipzig” but it was when Fenriz and Nocturno could do whatever they wanted. Very stylistic and something I have picked up again and again.
