Upscale and colour edit - My Nan and Pop

I'm always wanting old photos to test and edit on and recolour (if they are that old).

My Nan must of found this image and my mum sent it to me. Here is the image, I'm not sure how old they are, but its the first time I've ever actually seen my pop look "young" up until then he'd always looked kinda old (in his 40s+ I assume) so its quite a weird thing to see (I may of seen a photo when he was a child though but still).

So this is the image I started off with

So I threw it into Photoshop, cropped it in parts and then manipulated the image a little bit to make it "flat" to get this result.

I then threw it into my upscaling image, that upscales with AI, it's job is to basically increase the size of the image without making the photo all blurry and worse looking. This was upscaled 6x it's original size - 518x736 to 3108x4416. For people that got 0 clue what I'm on about it's just basically saying width and height.

I then recoloured it via another AI technique called DeOldify and its a script ran via Google Colab. And this was my result
