Music Reviews 10/7-10/18

Sorry I didn't get to it last week. I've been a busy kitty. c<xnxc

Ozzy Osbourne - No Rest For The Wicked: There were a couple cheesy-ass songs, but I feel each is iconic. 8.5/10
Black Sabbath - Headless Cross: Weak middle tracks. 7/10
Misfits - Walk Among Us: Uh, I guess there's about two standout tracks? Most songs are really boring. 3/10
Saxon - Crusader: Becoming hard rock inspired can make one a bit awkward. The two metal songs and one ballad are obviously the selling points. 5.5/10
Eighteen Visions: Until The Ink Runs Out: There's talent here and there, but the vast majority is so fucking boring. 3.5/10
Five Finger Death Punch - The Way of the Fist : Even without the post-singles (esp. Never Enough), each track is great. A bit too groove/bro at times but still. 9/10
Bleeding Through - The Truth: The hardcore influence sometimes gets in the way. There's momentum but not enough pull. I love a lot, but can't love all of it. 7/10
(idk if I had more here, since I had a power outage. <qnq>)
Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing: A few filler tracks, sure, but is so punchy! 8/10
Atreyu - Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses: Weak. It doesn't hit and just seems light, fluffy and awkward. I like a lot here, and it does pick up later. 5.5/10
Death - For The Whole World To See: Occasional awkwardness can't mask the true punk rock on display. 9/10
Revenge - Scum.Collapse.Eradication.: Repetitive, but with enough dynamics and a totally directed vicious and hateful sound that carries well. 7/10
Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols: Shitty, and done just right. 8.5/10
Avenged Sevenfold - Sound the Seventh Trumpet: Sometimes interesting, usually boring or fluffy. 5/10
The Amity Affliction - Youngbloods: Nice melodies and playing, but it all kind of blends together. 7/10
Underoath - The Changing of Times: Seems flat and odd to me at times. Still, excellent and I do respect it, even though I don't care much for this album. 6/10
Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Sin: Most of the middle songs are really forgettable. 6.5/10
Good Charlotte - The Young and the Hopeless: All of the songs are fun, I guess, but many of them don't really have much to them. 5.5/10
Cute Is What We Aim For - Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch: I quite like it, but few songs stand out that much. 6.5/10
Forever The Sickest Kids - Underdog Alpha Mater: May not always be that interesting, but there's a lot there. 6.5/10
Paramore - All We Know Is Falling: Generally strong, but not that standout. 6.5/10
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Selftitled Demo: I liked it throughout, but the middle songs were not so special. 7/10
In Solitude - Sister: Not quite as atmospheric as I'd like, but I love the mixing of goth rock and metal. 8.5/10
Agatus - Dawn of Martyrdom: Not terribly distinctive, but terribly effective and epic without going full background music. 9/10
Oz - Heavy Metal Heroes: Sloppy, but powerful. 7/10
Billy Idol - Rebel Yell: Some songs are unevenly done, but each one is memorable and has their fair share of good parts, many are amazing. 9/10
Kiss - Love Gun: Some songs aren't quite as engaging, however, I was pleasantly surprised. 8/10
Deep Purple - Burn: Some of the more bluesy stuff is kinda boring. 6.5/10
