Hi yes uh hello this is super random and super awkward but I feel like this may help me.
So like- I'm a small artist, I love drawing and such and I think my art is worthy of being sold or smth and so I wanna start taking commissions for some money.
I have my parents permission, but I have no idea what I can use to get money transfered, and I'm still kind of debating prices, or prices depending on what I'm gonna draw (headshot, bust, etc) and I'm kind of hearing that some artist get scammed or such.
I'm just a kiddie so idk how these things work so if someone could give me some tips or smth yk, anything helps 😭😭😓😓🙏🙏

Hi! I've been doing commissions for a little while now and I'm not great with advice, but some things you should know are:
always make your customers pay upfront, or midway through your art process. It is easy to get scammed if you have them pay after the art is complete
set up a way your customers can pay you! I typically use paypal, cashapp, and venmo, but there are plenty more options to choose from.
another thing: make a price sheet! You can look at examples from other artists online! it's very helpful.
Keeping a carrd, or a section of your current carrd for commissions is very good for keeping pricing info.
I don't have tips for pricing, but I typically base my prices off of how much time I put into it, and how much the artists around me say my art is worth (tips from other artists help a lot!!)
Sorry if this was long and poorly worded, but I hope it helped a little bit!
