I'm finally home. I stayed up a bit too late last night, on accident, playing a new video game called Multiversus with my friends. It's another Smash-style fighting game but filled with Warner characters, and I can't get enough of it. I crashed around 2:30am last night, and was up around 9:45. Out of the house by 11 and punched in by noon. I did not get enough sleep nor enough energy to last me through the day, I felt awful and miserable for most of my shift. I got a slight boost of energy when I took my lunch break, but it got pretty bad right after that again because it was 95 degrees outside, with the sun beaming right on me with no way to avoid it. It's a miracle I made it through.
The drive home was weird. I had wanted to stop at a gas station on the way home (to get... well...) and then also run into the store alongside it and get a fountain drink to enjoy. I didn't realize before just how cheap gas station fountain drinks are, it's quite the deal. Well, the gas station I ended up stopping at didn't have a soda fountain inside and their slushie machines were turned off entirely. I figured I could just drive a little bit more and stop at a different place, but as I got to that different place the sky started pouring rain. Did I mention it was thunderstorming last night? It was. So I just went home and ate dinner and relaxed.
I'm finishing this blog on the 5th but I wrote that first paragraph yesterday, and I think things just make a bit more sense if I keep the date as the 4th. I was halfway through writing when my friend called me up asking to play Multiversus. I couldn't resist. So that's what I ended up doing all night again. I love that game.
My song of the day is One Hit Wonder by Everclear. I guess no particular reason except I listened to it at work yesterday and it's a really good song.
