Goddess of Filth by V. Castro

This book is a novella so it is a very quick and fun read. It starts out with 5 young women Lourdes, Fernanda, Ana, Perla and Pauline about a year out of high school getting together to do a séance on a hot summer night. They conjure something that chooses to inhabit Fernanda and it changes her completely. Lourdes and friends try to help her along with Fernanda's mother (who happens to look down on her daughter's friends). The entity that has taken over Fernanda turns out to be from Aztec mythology and she is a diety of dirt, or a sin eater - hence goddess of filth. This book is a fun adventure and I couldn't put it down.
