We have all heard of the saying "consistency is key," as well as the phrase : "the key to happiness." There comes great power once you combine the two. Yes, all your life, the key to your happiness has been right in front of you.
Some of the most successful people of our time have built routines for themselves, and stayed consistent in their work and endeavours. It's very easy to become distracted by the internet, procrastination, or anything else that seems "easy" to you. It's harder than ever to maintain focus nowadays, let alone a routine!
If you don't know how to build a routine, it's great to make a checklist. Your checklist can include daily activities, things you'd like to achieve, and anything else you think you can squeeze into 24 hours. Set yourself a proper bedtime, and try to get up at the same time every day. You'll fix your "natural clock" and you'll have the proper rest needed to start your day. Browsing the net and watching videos late at night has given most of us a terrible sleep schedule.
By taking control of your sleep schedule, you create your first kind of routine, but it doesn't end there. How are you going to start your day? Eating a meal or hydrating yourself are both great ideas, and if you don't like eating breakfast, maybe a short exercise routine before you go to school/work?
The possibilities are endless, but what matters is how you manage your time and what you dedicate it to. There is plenty of time in the day for maintanence, work, and self-improvement. Dedicating your day to only one of those is a major waste! Imagine how much time you spend browsing social media or sitting around watching the clock. That time could be spent on productivity!
Once you begin to complete tasks on your checklist, your brain will naturally create dopamine as a reaction to your , and once you've mastered how you spend your time, you'll find yourself right on the path to self-improvement and self-mastery. The day is yours, carpe diem!
