gothic lolita (ゴスロリ) is a sub-genre of lolita that is influenced by victorian inspired goth styles. it reminds of a goth antique doll. the style was popularised by musician and designer mana sama. here are some examples of the style.
gothic lolita often so has religious motifs like crosses and such, but also bats, skulls, coffins.
what does the gothic lolita coord often consists of? petticoats, that give the main piece a puffy look. bloomers are optional. a blouse, and most importantly the main piece. the dresses often have lots of lace and ribbons, it is the main characteristic of lolita. a headpiece is optional. it can be a headress, a bonnet or a ruffly bow.
