The look of this is wonderfully nostalgic as well as the idea. Might make a YT video about it in the near future but I need to learn/relearn how to use it, lol. Change is hard. I have two YouTube channels, InternetKindness and CreepyAndWeirdPodcast, so I try to promote these things online and get a discussion going. Creepy and Weird is a thing I do with my friend Jamie about anything creepy and weird, and is an extension of our old website ZombieGirls.net which was online from 1999 or so through sometime in the 2000s? Don't recall exact dates. But it was a horror, scifi, and cult movie review website and we're trying to grow and change with the internet and media consumption, but I'm not a huge fan of Facebook for many reasons and I do miss the early days of the internet when we would just hang out on forums, look up things we were interested in on websites, etc.
InternetKindness is a more wide ranging art project, and hopefully I can get some stuff done with a different friend with a background in anthropology in the future, and for now it's a response to the general negativity and disinformation on the internet, a place where I can discuss social issues, LGBTQ+ issues, mental health issues, as well as random film reviews relating to my background in anthropology and languages and such. The first time I went to college, it was for art. Then languages and anthropology. And the unequal access people have to education in the United States is very distressing to me, and to the country as a whole, so I figured I would vlog about these things. SpaceHey seems like a good choice to me, though I haven't used it much yet.
