Little about me from my profile.

Hey! I'm Cody "Demo," the CEO and Co-Founder of Nexev Media. I'm a jack of all crafts and a master of none. I spent the most of my life as a vocalist and audio engineer. Over the years, I've built my own music/streaming studio. If I could give you any piece of advise, it would be to "never meet your heroes" or "never make friends with fans." I'm always willing to give individuals opportunities to create material, whether it's writing for my website or making music.

Hi Cody!

I have a few questions, if that's alright:

1. Are you formally educated or self-taught in audio engineering? Where did you study? Or, what resources did you find helpful in teaching yourself?

2. Concerning your advice, I think I understand well enough the part about "never make friends with fans", but could you elaborate on "never meet your heroes" please?
Within my own limited context I've only ever heard good experiences - one friend had a wonderful meeting with Maya Angelou before she passed; another got a job working directly for a particular governor and always spoke with the utmost fondness of him, even now when he no longer works in the governor's circle (I forget his exact position).

3. If its on your profile I may have just missed it, but: what is your website?

To your questions,

1.self-taught in audio engineering for 10+ years. I find taking breaks after long sessions of mixing and mastering a song helps the most. Over time your ears/brain adjust to the sounds your playing on repeat. So passing many hours helps you readjust hearing, I would say maybe let a day pass before working on whatever song you had up at the time of your break.

2. Not everyone you meet will be bad, but working with the people you look up to (at least for me) has never ended joyfully. For a few reasons, I won't be telling the name of said people.

3. I just started filling out this profile after being absent for a year, so my site is www.TheNexev.com
