god its such a horrible platform. i just get sucked into it... but doesnt all social media do that to you? isnt that just what the internet is lmfao. but tiktok is honestly the worst. it takes all the bad parts of the internet and puts it into one platform. theres just so much negativity.. and i dont want to sound like those "im not like other ppl.. im quirky cause i dont use tiktok.." no i just fucking despise it and its bad for me. hot take alert but theres people who get their whole personality and all their opinions from tiktok and i just steer so far away from them. i think you know what kind of people im talking about.. touch grass and think for yourself
ok edit like a day later. i just remembered there is like a whole community on tiktok that fakes mental disorders for clout which is the thing that pisses me off the most.
and theres just so many serious terms that have been watered down because of their use on there

i couldnt agree more, its so toxic, ive had breaks from it in the past but currently ive only got it so i can favourite edits and clips of my favourite bands. i cant physically scroll through the fyp without feeling depressed by the end of it though.

mayb you should delete it. I joined in like 2018 but in 2021 i deleted it because it was noticeably bad for me. I did download it again later but just to check my irl friend's accounts sometimes but then I deleted it again
as long as ive had it ive been deleting it on and off. i deleted it again a few months ago and have no plan on redownloading it.. and i feel a lot better. my friends still send me videos so i get my fix from there lmao
