Daddy Issues XD

     My dad expects me to give him 25% of my paycheck (which I don't have yet) by August 1st. And when my brother lived here, my dad expected him to pay $631 for rent, including utilities and whatnot. So, let me ask you this: What fucking parent expects their newly grown child to be able to support themselves fresh out of high school???

     My dad grew up with money. My grandmother was an entrepreneur, and my grandfather was in the Air Force, then moved to work at AT&T (which he still gets a pension for). I grew up in an upper low class/low middle class area, living off of almost constantly late child support.

     My dad worked 2-3 jobs in high school, saved up, and got his own place at 18. That's because 1). The economy was extremely different, 2). Jobs only ever hired straight, white, Catholic, cisgender men, and 3). Even if he didn't have enough, he would have still be able to rely on his parents.

     He makes $11,000/wk and wants my bullshit $10/hr??? That's not even gonna be enough for me to live on, let alone pay your stupid rent. I've just decided that I'm not gonna pay him anything. If he kicks me out, he kicks me out.

     My fiancé is gonna come live up here soon because there's better job opportunities where I live. My dad hasn't lived in this house since March, and he wouldn't have known my brother had moved out had he not been told about it, so I'm not gonna tell him my fiancé is moving up here. I know my dad would start charging him rent, too, which is absolutely ridiculous.

     I don't want to live here, but it's all I have right now, and I want to be able to eat XD. Gas and grocery prices are still going up, so once I get my job, I'm gonna need to start planning my meals and making my own food. I don't know how to cook very well, but I'm gonna have to learn now.
