A snare is a trap. I understand this verse to mean: When you fear a man you trust the voice of the devil. This is a trap because the voice that you trust in the moment is acting like a protector but it is evil. This misdirection is a trap in that it will lead you to danger. The devil doesnt want to protect you. Trust in the Lord. Stay in the light.
