being keto

what has keto taught me so far?
I'd say keto has taught me how hard it is to resist temptation,
it has taught me that the world won't really help me acheive my goals so i have to adapt and figure out solutions to fix my dilema.

what is keto/keto diet?
let me explain what being keto is in my own definition. Being keto means you stop eating most carbs(count the amount of carb grams you eat in a day, for a strict keto you have to eat less than 12 grams of carbs in a day) it also means no sugar. Having no sugar nor carbs means your diet will mostly depend on fats. i think the point of being in ketosis means your body gets used to eating fats instead of carbs and sugar, meaning once you're in a calorie deficit your body will slowly start eating it own fat,supposedly.

what is my goal by doing keto?
one of my main oal while doing keto is to get healthier in 2 senses. one is i want to make excersisng a regular part of my routine , i feel as though this regularity will help stabilize me.My second goal is to loose weight. currently i weigh about 205lbs which isnt healthy for my heaight nor age. my goal weight is 160lbs, which is still technically seen as bigger but i feel as though its a reachable goal.

what am i doing to help with my weightloss?
im intermitten fasting between the hours of 3pm to the next morning, meaning i dont really have dinner at a regular time as others, i choose to eat dinner at 3 because i still have many hours to digest and use that food for fuel.I also fast for one full day every week. another thing i practice is not having cheat days, because that can lead to binge eating, so instead, if im truly want something that isnt part of my diet , i do eat it , but in small portions and tend to workout after to help burn that extra energy. A big thing i realized while on this journey is that apps you use to track calories werent benefical in my case, also weighing myself ended up discouraging me more than helping so i only weigh myself once a month.

am i seeing results ?
well ive been on keto since june 26 2022 and so far my clothing size has gone down three sizes i went from a xl to a medium in most shirts, and for pants went from a 34 to a 28 and 16 to a 12, and also ive noticed that shopping experiences have been more enjoyable since things are actually starting to fit.

is keto for everyone? 
no.
