plasmaDunk's Top Ten Games (in no particular order(except for the obvious one)

1. DOOM - The original doom games are masterpieces. Fast gameplay, simple controls, and story light. I enjoy a good plot to a game but the gameplay loop of DOOM and the enemy variety is more than enough for me.
2. Minecraft - Can be almost any playstyle you want. I have been raised on this game and have so many good memories of late night craftin with the boys. Graphics are a bit blocky but overall a 10/10 game.
3. Factorio - Top down resource management while fighting off aliens with native mod support. It truly does not get much better than this. The gameplay loop is just positive feedback, eventually culminating in a highly efficient factory that you built.
4. Ultrakill - Quakelike gameplay taken to the extreme with a style meter. I love movement shooters or just fast paced games in general.
5. Deltarune - I enjoy the whimsical nature of the game and how it does not take itself incredibly seriously. The full game isnt out however its worth a play.
6. CIV 5 - Hands down the best rendition of the grandaddy of strategy games. You get so much freedom in a surprisingly easy to understand game. It may not have the cool animations or cool map of CIV 6, however it more than makes up for that in amazing gameplay.
7. Akane - One hit one kill, but that also applies to you. Frantic gameplay where you let your attention slip for just one moment and an amazing run can end. Keeps you on your toes and thinking fast. Only complaint is that unlocking upgrades is unreasonable at times.
8. Deep Rock Galactic - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34CZjsEI1yU. You are a dwarf. You are digging a hole. And you are killing a ton of spiders. The amazing aesthetic combined with a solid gameplay loop can keep a dwarf entertained for years to come.
9. DOOM ETERNAL - DOOM 2016 but better. DOOM 2016 was already an amazing game, but DOOM ETERNAL was something else. The game is initially hard to approach as it wants you to play it the way it wants you to, and that requires you to forgo a lot of traditional fps instincts, but when you do adapt to how it wants you to play, you are in for one of the greatest experiences known to man. It took 2 playthroughs for me to fully appreciate the game, and it only saddens me that this is the last entry into the mainline DOOM series for now.
10. Nuclear Throne - This one holds a place near and dear to my heart. I view it as Enter the Gungeon but remove the roll and add steroids. The weapon variety is large but you'll often encounter the same weapons constantly. It also possess a unique upgrade system where you get a new mutation every level up, combined with a characters normal abilities.
