i really need to learn how to play dnd
i have a character in mind and im thinking of buying one of those books to help me but im broke!! from buying notebooks i dont need!! so i'll try to find somebody on here since who can help me with dungeons and dragons
and yes, you might think i want to play dnd because of stranger things but no, it's just out of spite because i love games like it and my friend wants to play it, and ive been lying that i know how to play and they're currently working on a campaign and omg
might have to hit up my old english and science teachers since they know how to play if it's my last choice

Not sure just how helpful this’ll be, especially since I have yet to play a game of DnD myself. To my knowledge, all you really need is the starter manual for the rules, a set of dice (unless you’re gonna be able to share with your friends), and a basic character sheet. Most of these can be found online thankfully!! No need to buy anything! Im assuming that your friends will already have a story planned, so I doubt you need to worry about that - just get familiar with the basics for now :))

i think you can look up how to play and stuff, there's prob a website or two with all the rules and stuffs
