I'm going to skip lunch and salty chalice this week and wait for
everyone to get out there "how we celebrated the imperialist holiday
this year" chat out of their system.
We did an Anti-Imperialist celebration of Christian Smalls birthday yesterday.
Also,
emancipation day was the 3rd. I don't know how many people knew that,
but Google knew it, and I guess that's all that matters. So we
celebrated that, too.
It's weird how people have internalized the
toxic capitalism that makes them hate Valentine's Day, but haven't
internalized the toxic imperialism that should make them hate them hate
Independence day. Saint Valentine was a real person, actually multiple
people, and they all loved people and wanted everybody to be happy.
Imperialists don't want anyone to be happy, but capitalism has taught us
to be head over heels for that shit.
