Catch 22’s Keasbey nights is my favorite album of all time so when the Streetlight manifesto version is the most bland, tone deaf, and disappointing ska album of all time I am pretty pissed. Almost every change they made to the album was for the worse, like the stupid theremin at the beginning of dear Sergio, the laughably bad vocals for On&On&On, the change from a fretless bass to a normal one really hindered Walking Away, the same for As the Footsteps Die out Forever, The horns are the worst sounding on here than any other Streetlight Manifestation album, and the over all mixing too is completely wack, most notably with 9mm with a Three Piece Suit compared to the original. But the worst thing they did by FAR was them completely butchering the end of 1234 1234, the original, was a great send off with the end just being the band thanking everyone who worked and helped on the album and goofing off a bit too, it was a perfect closer for a perfect album, while Streetlight Manifesto’s was a lame, lazy TEXT TO SPEECH of the reason why They decided to re-record the album, with the original audio being played back at high pitch in the background, it just felt like a spit in the face to the whole original album.
TL:DR: Streetlight manifesto’s was a sloppy remake while Catch 22’s was a labor of love, and a perfect one at the.
