i survived

i practically just completed such a stressful week...
had an essay due today, my final essay for my engineering ethics class. which, on its own, it was fine. however, i had another set of obstacles and business this week. for one, i had to drive up to lubbock for a singular night just for an orthodontics appointment. i was told when i started in february that the plan would be for me to come in on may, august, and january... however in the may appointment they were like "alright, and so let's set you up an appointment for late june." terrible. anyway, did all of that bullshit and survived. got home wednesday morning at 2am. thankfully i had some downtime during the trip, so i got to go to the campus library and wrote like half the essay. wednesday morning before work i finished the other half.
the other obstacle was my car. as mentioned, my tire blew. got that fixed. however, i also needed to get my car's registration done for the year as well as get a new tire for the other side to balance it all out and whatnot. so that was this morning. while waiting for the tire and inspection to be done, i organized my sources, read over, and edited my essay. went to the courthouse and sorted my car registration, and now i am at the town's library, wherein i did one last look-over and submitted it. and now, i am just waiting for my time to go to work.
funny thing about work, my first paycheck was an actual check, because apparently for the first one direct deposit doesn't work. anyway, i tried depositing it via my phone's banking app, but it kept glitching at the last step of the process. so, tomorrow i am gonna have to go and do that.
i can't wait to substantially sleep tonight. tomorrow i don't start work until 4pm, and so i will get to sleep a bit extra. thank god, cos i barely got any sleep this past week. wake up early monday, tuesday sleep on someone's petite couch for a few, wednesday have to wake up early again. a good, long, comfortable sleep tonight.
