small cartoons i found on the internet #3

The name "Amy Winfrey" might sound familiar to you. If it does, then you've likely heard of her show "Making Fiends". Making Fiends was a show on Nickelodeon following a green girl named Vendetta who takes over the town of Clamburg with the fiends she makes. A blue girl named Charlotte, moves into Clamburg and tries to make friends with Vendetta. It ran for 2 seasons.

But unfortunately, I'm not going to talk about Making Fiends today. Instead, I'm going to talk about another show Amy Winfrey worked on.

And it's called Hooray for Hell!

Hooray for Hell is a series about a girl named Cindy who has(somehow)found herself in hell. After not being able to find a way to get out, she accepts her inevitable stay in the underworld and tries to make the best of it. Yeah, the premise of a happy hell resident must sound familiar and are found in cartoons such as Hazbin Hotel and Jimmy Two Shoes(does anyone remember that show? PLEASE TELL ME I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE). Though I feel this one's different than the two. Hooray for Hell has a more cynical tone than the two other shows mentioned since Cindy fails a lot at trying to make hell a better place.

As for the art, it's staple Amy Winfrey stuff. The muted colors, the messy lines, the people's void white eyes, etc. I adore the silly puns on the store signs! I like how a lot of the hell-dwellers are either shades of blue or green. It makes a nice contrast with the reds and oranges of hell.

The voice cast of Hooray for Hell are just Amy and her husband, Peter Merryman. Amy voices Cindy, the main character. Peter voices the guy who assists her in the first episode. The two also voice various other characters that appear in the series. The voice actor for Vendetta(Aglaia Mortcheva)makes a small cameo in one of the episodes :>

My final thoughts on the series is that I enjoy it so far and I hope to see what misadventures Cindy gets into next! I think Winfrey making a webseries on Youtube is really cool and I hope she keeps working on it.
