Spotify is lagging severely

For the last week Spotify has been playing on loop on my laptop and I cant turn it off I cant even delete it. I love a good musical just as much as the next person but this is just to much. It not even playing a full song it is playing the end of fight for me on loop!!!!! I'm losing my mind all i want to do is watch YouTube in peace. if anyone has any suggestions or tips plzzzz let me know .
