I tried taking driving lessons a year ago, but it was too stressful I have had 3 lessons of 2 hours each, and the guy started with asking why I started just now with my lessons? I was 20? He thought I was too old for this? Like bro wtf u complaining, I'm paying u, also it's a normal age if I have to pay for this all by myself, I was a student with a minimum wage job on the site, and you need at least more than 2.000 euros to do this all. Secondly, he stared asking what I do on Sundays and if I go to church... Red flag. Then, when I did something wrong, he would simply say "Wrong". Not explaining what and how to better it. Later, when I was finally allowed off the parking lot and was driving around the city, he would scream at me for doing things wrong. Which would make me disassociate. Not something you want when operating a vehicle. After the lessons, I would be emotionally exhausted for days from the stress.
So I quit.
But I'll try again, but this time with an instructor who is specialized in people with performance anxiety. These driver instructors are pretty common and will have to be way friendlier.
So in this blog I'm going to calculate how much money I will need for it all.
- First the driving lessons, a package of 30 lessons (1 hour per lesson) would be €1.550,-
- ill probably need more lessons so let's add about 10 more (1 lesson = €52,50 x 10) = €525,-
- Declaration of health, to prove that I'm physically and mentally healthy enough to take driving lessons and to participate in traffic € 41,50
- I already have a car theory book, so that would be free € 0,-
- crash course car theory € 100,-
- the theory exam € 37,00
- the middle test, to see if i would be able to do the driving exam € 185,-
- the actual driving exam € 285,-
- getting my picture taking for on my driver's license € 7,-
- getting my drivers licence € 41,60
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total: € 2.772,10
well, I do have that saved away for this reason. Ever since I started working when I was 18 I have put 50% of my income in a separate bank account for my driver's license.
now the only thing left to do is actually apply.... -_-
