Goth thrifting

As many alternative/goth people know:

Clothes are crazy expensive
Like, seriously. New (branded) clothes that are marketed towards goth or lolita audiences are crazy. Brands like punk rave, moi-même-moitié, kill star, you name it… often end up out of peoples price range. And with good reason, because the clothes end up being good quality! (As long as you care for them the right way, lmk if you want a guide on how to care for your clothes as well)

But no need to be upset! You can always go to a thriftshop.
Although, the thing is, most people dont live in big cities in america; so finding clothes usable in your style becomes very hard. Especially if you cant sew. (Although i do recommend learning how to!)

So, in this beautiful new age of the internet, we found a solution! Second hand clothing sites.
Reselling clothes online is easy to do yourself (if you want to lose some old clothes that dont fit your style anymore) but also GREAT to find branded clothes (like from the brands i mentioned before) for a fraction of the price!

One of the best places online i’ve found to do this is Vinted
Vinted is a free app for on your phone, all you need to do is make an account, connect it to your address, and start browsing looking up keywords, brands, or certain styles!
The best thing is, its worldwide! I’ve bought items from people all around the globe. From france to brazil to japan, and your online purchase is safely secured. So if someone doesn’t send the item, you get your money back. (Although you do often need to pay shipping, so that drives the price up. But if they dont send the item you get the shipping fee back too!)

Another good place, that most of you know, is probably etsy. Etsy is great for small businesses, and i’ve gotten tons and tons of jewellery from there!
Same with redbubble, i always found the shops i buy from lovely, and the shipping is always pretty fast!

That’s all for my general alt fashion help, i’ll also try and make a list with sites for J-fashion!
