a lot happened today

last night i dyed my hair rainbow for pride month. i thought it'd be a bit much (even for me) to do it rainbow all over, so instead i did multi colours under a layer of white(ish) - i really like how it turned out!!!

i wanted to take better pics today but didn't get a proper chance, so you get the late-night and not-very-good-lighting selfie where the colour looks much less noticeable than it does irl...

it also marked one month since i had top surgery today. i wanted to do something to celebrate, but i didn't really know what, so i was excited when my friend asked if i wanted to go sea swimming in the evening after work and it turned into a sort of beach party bbq type of deal

this was my second time sea swimming this year (the first being just the other day) and i hardly did any, because it turns out that swimming in the scottish sea takes quite a lot of effort and your body might not appreciate that while you're recovering from a major surgery. but i also swam more than 3 other people, so, i'm happy enough with that.

I've always said that there are 2 types of tired (well, at least 2): one is when you're exhausted from doing something like work, that tires out your body but leaves your mind restless, and it's horrible. the second is when you've been active while doing things you enjoy/care about, that leaves you happy with what you've done and ready for a good night's sleep.

today i am lucky enough to be feeling the latter kind
