Music Reviews 9/29-10/6

Sorry I forgot yesterday. <#-w-;>

Stratovarius - Visions: It was over an hour? 9/10
Black Sabbath - Tyr: Kinda samey. Not too much. 7.5/10
30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie: Very White Pony, and that's not a bad thing. 9/10
Creature Feature - It Was A Dark And Stormy Night: Kinda blends together. 8.5/10
Get Scared - Best Kind of Mess: Kind of wears down over time, but not too much. Kinda samey, kinda. 7.5/10
Emery - The Weak's End: Doesn't always hold me. Sometimes does. Quite well. 6.5/10
Black Flag - My War: A little weird for me. More like an art project than music. 5/10
Deftones - White Pony: Unsettling, dreamy and edgy. 8.5 or 9.5/10 (Pink Maggit vs. Mini Maggit)
Kraschau - Offenbarung: Kind of background-music-y but nice. 6/10
Cheap Trick - In Color: Kinda meh mostly in the second half. 7/10
Cheap Trick - Cheap Trick: Very strong. 8.5/10
Witching Hour - Exhumation: I love its sounds, but I think the record is too long for its own good. 8/10
G.I.S.M. - Detestation: Raw, maybe too limited sometimes but I really like it. 8/10
Circa Survive - Juturna: Beautiful, though it kind of becomes semi-background music at times. Time passed so quickly though. 9/10
Sisters of Mercy - Floodlands: Songs may be a bit long and drone-y, but still good. 7.5/10
Yngwie Malmsteen - Marching Out: Kind of fluffy and weak in short sections. Malmsteen is best when he's controlled. 6.5/10
Cro-Magnon - Orgasm: WTFOMGMAEKITSTOP. It's awesome, and it's ridiculous. I can't tell whether to give it a 2/10 or a 11/10. 3/10 for the opener and closer.
Stos - Stos: Shortish, raw, brilliant guitarwork; sinister and catchy. 9/10
Avril Lavigne - Let Go: Quite catchy all the way through, though maybe a few songs could've been cut and others reordered to be less disjointed. 6.5/10
Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin: More concrete without sacrifing the catchy pop. 7.5/10
From First to Last - Heroine: All of the songs are good, but some parts don't stick. 8/10
Sisters of Mercy - Vision Thing: Some songs may be too long. 8.5/10
Wintersun - Wintersun: I quite like it, but feels a bit soft and gets a little too background-y. 7.5/10
