If life be fair
Then why does darkness thrive in every justice?
Every sorry glance across the seven hundred seas?
Why hide behind a thousand miles when every day you thrust the darkest castigations, defamations, monsters of their own creations thriving in this,
Wide-eyed child, this untainted mind
And every day the screams got louder
every day new perceptions had opened their brightly cloying doors,
Behind it was another
Unscathed, unhurt
If you are her hero,
Then why are you my devil?
But it was only one change in the tide, they say, only one flip of a coin,
Chance does not pick favourites,
Then why am I it’s enemy?
And time didn’t want to let go of scarred memories
So you wrung it by it’s bloodied neck and relapsed and relapsed and relapsed
But she’ll never know
And sometimes the mask never melts
And blind eyes can see that
Some things never change
Deaf ears can hear every one of your ghastly utterances
Yet tears of the sighted
Will never let go
Oh bittersweet luck
Unaccountable fate
And on that day, I knew that the world would never rid of hate
So I hated the world
And nothing ever really ends
It only lurks behind glued masks
And broken windows
And if war is a constant
Then we’ll never
Really
Know
