So tomorrow is our towns pole fair.
It happens once every 20 years - don't ask me where the last 20 have gone!
We used to have a greasy pole we made everyone climb up. If you got to the top a cooked ham was yours. Health & Safety have sadly put a stop to that fuckery. Shame.
I shall be at the old village for 6am to hear the proclamation. They even make the oldest person in town turn up, which is a bit rough but also hilarious. They're also laying on a free breaking which is awesome!
Literally also found out that for reasons unknown there will also be some jousting. Love a bit of jousting, just never associated it with here #smalltowncrazy
