Spirits?

Maybe the witnessing of spirits/existential beings outside of 'normality' is actually a bridged connection to a parallel dimension that exists on the same plane that is perceived by those that resonate on almost the same frequency, whether naturally or psychedelically induced, whilst beings in that dimension simultaneously tune into our wavelengths, allowing a glimpse of the dwellers and the ability to pass minimal amounts of energy.
