heartbreak playlist

This was for the Mixtape Exchange group (click).  The assignment was to choose love or heartbreak and make a playlist.  I chose heartbreak.  That was an easy one... do what you know, right?

As is the case with most of my playlists that aren't tied to a specific era, these songs are all over the place when it comes to era and genre.  I started with songs about having been left, then songs about the additional hurt when your ex finds someone else, then songs about being better off and knowing that your ex ruined her life, and I ended on a hopeful note (representing Sacramento, additionally).

I realize that I wasn't consistent with the genders, with Natalie Imbruglia and Katie Petersen being women singing about having been hurt by men.  But I still find those songs relatable.
