So a few weeks ago my grandmother cleaned out her shed and in it was this neat little Sharp 13" TV/VCR combo! Took it off her hands for the nice price of $0.00, took it home, popped in a tape, and it worked perfectly!
I also got two huge boxes of tapes from my grandmother, mostly movies my grandfather recorded off TV (including recordings of the original three Star Wars movies off the USA Network in 1993!), but also some home movies, history documentaries, and a few local documentaries. Lots and lots of time to sink in those boxes!
Here's a shot of everything together. The stand seems a little tall but it's actually a fine height for watching/playing from the chair or my bed. I would say the setup is complete, but my Unicomp Ultra Classic Model M keyboard died on me (again), so now I have to figure out if I want to send it in for repair (again) or replace it with another retro/beige/mechanical board (pictured is some HP thing I got for 2 bucks at Goodwill)

Since KNOE is one of those small-market stations with little budget (and, as with many of those stations, is owned by Gray Television), it appears they took a still of the 1980s CBS News Special Report slide and added their own name in the middle. Cheap, but it would do the job then.
